Your photos, videos and collages
Zolage works in your browser, and the Zolage apps for Android and iPhone run the same app. The media you add, your collages and your exports are processed on your device and are never uploaded to us. To keep your work safe between visits, the app saves your current collage and its media in the app's or browser's own storage on your device. You can delete it at any time; the support page explains how on each device.
You choose the photos, videos and music Zolage uses with your device's picker (on a phone this can include taking a new photo or video). Zolage does not read your photo library or use the camera or microphone in any other way.
The only exception is a bug report: if you choose to attach screenshots or a picture of your current collage, those images are sent with the report (see below).
Anonymous usage counts
We also estimate returning browsers seen on an earlier UTC day and active seconds while the app is visible. Time stops after 60 seconds without interaction; temporary local tab markers avoid counting two tabs twice. Only daily totals and their UTC reporting day are uploaded. First-seen and tab markers stay on this device; no account, document, task, answer, photo or content is included.
To understand how Zolage is used, the app sends daily totals of a few events, for example how many collages were exported as video, how many times the app was opened, or how many devices used it that day. We count these as totals only:
- No user IDs, no device IDs and no cookies. To count unique devices without an ID, first-seen and reporting dates stay in this browser; these markers are not sent as identifiers.
- We also count which steps people take, so we can see where the app gets in the way: the first-visit screen, which tool tabs and template collections are used, and whether an export was opened, failed or took long (in rough buckets).
- Once a day a device reports its type (phone, tablet or desktop) and its operating-system and browser family (for example "Android" and "Chrome").
- Our hosting provider tells us the country a request comes from, which we add to the daily totals. We do not store IP addresses.
- Nothing about your photos, file names or collage content is ever sent.
- If your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, Zolage sends no usage counts at all.
Feedback
When you send feedback we receive your star rating and/or message, your email address only if you enter one for a reply, the app version, and whether you used the installed app or the browser.
Bug reports
When you report a bug we receive the title, the area you pick, your description, your email only if you enter one, the app version, and whether you used the installed app or the browser. We also receive only the following, and only if you choose to include them:
- Screenshots you attach (up to three). They are shrunk on your device before sending.
- A picture of your current collage ("Attach the current collage").
- Device details: operating system and version, browser and version, screen size, installed app or browser, the app version and the last error the app hit. The report sheet shows you exactly what will be sent.
We use feedback and bug reports only to answer you and improve Zolage. We do not sell them or share them with anyone.
What's stored on your device
- Your collages and their media, including the ones kept in My collages (browser storage, so your work is there next time).
- Your theme choice, whether you dismissed the install offer, whether you've added photos before (so the first-visit screen isn't shown again), and the date the device last sent usage counts.
Zolage uses no cookies.
Where data is kept
Zolage is hosted on Cloudflare, which stores the usage totals, feedback and bug reports for us. Like any website host, Cloudflare processes your IP address to deliver the app and protect it from abuse; see Cloudflare's privacy policy. Zolage loads no other third-party services: its fonts and code are all served from zolage.com.
How long we keep it
Usage totals are kept as long as they're useful for understanding trends. Feedback and bug reports are kept until they are resolved or no longer needed. If you gave an email address, we use it only to reply to you.
Your choices and rights
- Turn off usage counts by enabling Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track in your browser.
- Delete the work saved on your device: in a browser clear the site's data, on iPhone or iPad delete the app, and on Android clear zolage.com's data in Chrome (see Support).
- To ask what we hold, or to have your feedback or bug reports deleted, email support@crashsoftwares.com (or send feedback from the app) with the email address you used, and we'll take care of it.
Children
Zolage is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Because we don't collect names or accounts, the only personal information we could hold is an email address someone chose to give us; if you believe a child has sent us one, tell us and we'll delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update it here and change the date at the top.
